In 1914, the Death Valley Railroad was built to serve mining operations on the east side of the valley. Wernerius inyoensis is probably closely related to two other rare scorpions in the desert Southwest: Wernerius spicatus, which is native to Joshua Tree National Park, and Wernerius mumai, which lives along the Colorado River near Parker, Ariz. In 1913 the summer temperature hit a record 134 degrees. It'll suck for you city slickers who will whine and complain about not having the basic amenities of home. We only saw one area where there was anything resembling a restaurant so I'd recommend bringing your own food. The ranch includes 224 recently refurbished rooms as well as several restaurants. I even purchased a new phone to see if that would correct the situation. Sold both leases to CCG, Atlanta, $250,000, will receive 80% of new tenants or towers on property. When we found out this was only about two hours from Las Vegas we knew we needed to check it out.
