Imagine a work of art dedicated to doing nothing but portraying the psychology of evil, not in such a way as to praise or condemn, not to represent it as other, alien and incomprehensible, but merely to make us see it as it is. After a long period of overcast weather, the Christchurch sky at last cleared on January 22, 2007, and we were able to observe Comet McNaught in its true celestial glory. But it is also bound up with the complex history of Latvians as an underclass during colonial rule that began during the 13th century and did not truly end until 1991.

Lecture series on Aesthetics and the Philosophy of Art. Langer seems to concur that emotive expression and logical conception can coexist. A careful and in-depth examination of major European philosophers of the 17th and 18th centuries. Aesthetic judgments register the enjoyment of one’s very capacity to find order in experience, to imagine possible orders. While this does correspond to the Functions Factor, it does not describe any balance between functions and sub-functions or balance with other factors.
